To help answer your questions about employment verification and salary verifications, we have compiled our Employment & Salary Verification FAQ.
QuickConfirm offers three distinct types of services for three distinct types of visitors, and employment verifications work a bit differently for each:
There is no charge for employers to join our network. Likewise, there is no charge for employees who work for companies of these employers to release their information. Verifiers are charged for verifications based on the type of account they establish.
To access employment or salary information, the verifier must provide the employee's company code, Social Insurance Number, and the authorization number provided by the employee. Without this information, no third party can obtain employee details.
For security purposes, employees must log into QuickConfirm to create a unique employment or salary authorization number, which allows third parties to access information. Employees can log into the system to view the status of their authorized employment or salary verifications. They have unlimited access to their information and incur no fees for this access.
It is the employee's responsibility to provide the verifier with an authorization number, enabling the verifier to access their employment or salary information. Creating this number is a simple process. Employees can view a how-to video which is found on the employee portal.
The security of your personal information is of paramount importance. QuickConfirm maintains strict standards to prevent unauthorized access. Take a look at the security features for QuickConfirm.
The minimum requirements for running QuickConfirm are as follows.
This is one of our most frequently asked questions regarding employment verification and legal matters. We are compliant with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents (PIPEDA), as well as the applicable provincial privacy acts.
We are also fully PCI compliant.
If you are an employer, your industry likely has guidelines on how to respond to verification requests. Generally, an employer can safely release information about an employee’s name, job title, and dates of employment. Sometimes, verification of employment questions requests past performance reviews, but this can be treacherous legal ground. Answers to such questions are not provided through QuickConfirm. Employers must notify their employees of their intention to use a verification service and inform them that they have the option to opt out. This responsibility is shared with QuickConfirm. Our service provides employees with the ability to opt out.
QuickConfirm provides an easy and instant way for any employee to opt out so that verifications cannot be completed for them. Should an employee wish to grant access to the information, they can do so instantly by unfreezing their account.
At QuickConfirm, our employment verification services help ensure that both verifiers and employers comply with applicable laws and regulations.
